I'm A Little Behind

Most of the time, I look around and think to myself, "Wow, you really need to step it up!  You have lost the skill of _____ (fill in the blank)."  Things I've lost:
- taking pictures
- making food
- caring for my house
- organizing in bills/money and at school
- health watch
- posting pictures and/or blog posts
- staying in touch
- making a list and sticking to it

Now, I know what you are thinking, "Give yourself some credit."  Well, I'm about to cut the bull crap and get back on track.

Today for breakfast, I drank a protein shake.  Super easy to make, and if I ever get a half gallon of milk at school, there will be no reason I can't make one every day.  I'm trying to skip lunch (but I had about four Reese's Peanut Butter Cups....).  No lunch.  And no more candy for the rest of the day!

I made a list.  I'm trying to get to it... after I blog! :)

I haven't posted pictures on Facebook in a while, except for those random Mobile Pictures I sent every-other-day.  I'm posting them now.

I am going to budget and make a menu plan for next week.  And I'm going to try my hand at Freezer Crock Pot Meals.  I'm going to.  I have to if I want to make dinner, (which I haven't in about, oh, five weeks).

Here.

And that was just from about three weeks' worth of pictures.  I want to take time to take more.  And I will.

high expectations are not always what they seem

I've learned a few things in the last couple of months.  The high expectations that I have for others are not always what I think they should be.  For example: hanging out with someone. I think in my mind that this experience is going to be great.  That it is going to be wonderful.  That my friendship and relationship with this person is going to strengthen and become more fulfilling.  And when the time comes; that person fails to deliver the way I think it ought to be.  This means that my perception on many relationships are oftentimes wrong or don't happen the way I think it will.

So what does this mean for me?  How should I stop this crazy let down in my life?  I guess I should start by not having any preconceived notions about another person.  I should let that person develop the way they are going to develop, instead of predicting how it will turn out.  I guess I should also judge less.

It's just hard when you count on or believe really strongly for someone and then they let you down.  Oh well.  I guess that relationship was not as strong as I was hoping.

Kansas

I swear, Kansas is bipolar. This morning, was a beautiful sunny day. The weather was not too hot. There was a nice little breeze. We enjoyed our drive to the doctor's (yes, I took McCoy to the doctor for his little cough), and took a quick trip to Target to get a few items. The weather was getting hotter, but not unbearable. It was beautiful. About 1:30, Me-Ma, Colette, Sara, Robin, Elizabeth and Rachel came over to go swimming. The weather was nice. About an hour after that, the wind started to pick up and it got a bit chilly being in the water. Some of the clouds were covering up the sun and it became a little cold. So, when the moment was perfect and the sun was out, we decided to pack up and leave the poolside. It was about 4:30. Everyone left for the evening and not one hour later, the sky became dark. It started to rain a little bit. Then the rain got harder and then the lightening started, followed by roars of thunder. It was very loud and very dark (but lovely weather for a nap!).

In a little less than two hours, my day turned from sunny and hot, to chilly and breezy, to rainy and thunderstormy. Kansas, my dear state, you are bipolar.
